G-Pex piping system is manufactured under the WaterMark Licence and is approved for use in all states and territories within Australia. The installation method must follow the specified AS/NZS 3500, Parts 1, 4 and 5 of the National Plumbing Code and the G-Pex Installation Guide. G-Pex's 25 year warranty covers pipelines against manufacturing defects from the date of manufacture (conditions apply).
The standards: AS4176.2 is for Pex-Al-Pex pipes, AS4176.3 is for Pex-Al-Pex fittings, AS2492 is for Pex-B pipes and AS2537 is for Pex-B fittings. The standard, AS4176.8 is for Pex-Al-Pex gas pipes and fittings. All certificates must be shown in order for one fitting to fit all pipes. An important circumstance to note is Pex-B pipes can not be used with Pex-Al-Pex fittings without the AS2537 certificate, even if the supplier has both AS4176 and AS2492 certificates. Insurance companies will not compensate for any damages that have not met this standard requirement.
